Building bridges between Minnesota and The Gambia through media and mentorship

How IFI's media hubs are creating new pathways for young creators, educators, and entrepreneurs to collaborate, share stories, and build opportunity across communities.

Infinity Foundation International was founded on a simple conviction: geography should never determine a person's access to opportunity. That conviction lives at the heart of the Jeshwang Media Hub in The Gambia and the Minnesota Media Hub in the Twin Cities, two creative spaces connected by a shared mission to empower young people through storytelling, technology, and collaboration.

In The Gambia, the Jeshwang Media Hub gives young people access to digital media production, storytelling workshops, and entrepreneurship training. Participants learn camera work, editing, content creation, and digital communication, skills that open doors to creative careers, freelance work, and community storytelling. In Minnesota, the Minnesota Media Hub brings the same spirit to youth and community members across the Twin Cities, combining creative technology with workforce development so that storytelling becomes a pathway to skills, confidence, and employment.

What makes these hubs powerful is not the equipment alone, it is the human connection. Mentors in both locations work with participants to develop their voices, tell their own stories, and collaborate across borders. When a young creator in Banjul and a young creator in Minneapolis work on a shared project, they are not just learning media skills. They are building relationships, cultural understanding, and a sense of possibility that transcends geography.

The Global Creator Exchange extends this vision further, connecting creators, educators, students, and organizations worldwide through collaborative storytelling and innovation. Together, these initiatives represent IFI's commitment to building bridges, not metaphorical bridges, but real pathways made of skills, relationships, and shared purpose.

As IFI's ambassador network grows, so does the potential for collaboration across borders. Community ambassadors in Senegal, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and across the African diaspora are helping connect local stories to a global audience. Every story shared is a door opened, to opportunity, to understanding, and to lasting community impact.

Your community has a story. Help connect it to opportunity.
