Global Creator Exchange connects storytellers across borders

The Global Creator Exchange is IFI's initiative to connect creators, educators, students, and organizations across countries and cultures through collaborative storytelling and innovation. It is a bridge, not between institutions, but between people who believe that stories can create understanding and opportunity.

Through the exchange, participants from Minnesota, The Gambia, and growing ambassador communities worldwide collaborate on media projects, storytelling initiatives, and creative campaigns. They share skills, perspectives, and cultural knowledge, learning not just from curriculum but from one another. A filmmaker in Minneapolis and a content creator in Banjul working on the same project each bring something the other does not have: context, experience, and a unique point of view.

The exchange is designed to be flexible and participant driven. Some collaborations are short term projects, a video, a podcast, a photo essay. Others are longer term partnerships that build over months or years. What matters is the connection: the relationships formed, the skills shared, and the stories told.

Education is woven throughout. The exchange creates opportunities for students and educators to participate in real world creative projects, building portfolios, gaining experience, and developing the communication skills across cultures that are increasingly essential in a connected world. For young creators, the exchange offers a platform, an audience, and a network.

As IFI's ambassador network grows, so does the Global Creator Exchange. Every new ambassador brings a community, a perspective, and a story. Together, these voices form a global chorus, not of uniformity, but of shared purpose. The exchange is where that purpose becomes visible.
